Looks like we have ourselves a suicidal Republican party.
And while McCain tries to portray himself as a Conservative, it ought to be noted that on several counts he is not (Google can tell you all you want to know about his voting record). And you know what? Even if he were to pick a "for real" Conservative running mate - Senator McCain will still not be a Conservative! As for me - McCain could have Ronald Reagan himself as his running mate, I will not vote for McCain. Ever. Period.
One thing that I am learning from these primaries and caucuses...
Republicans have to stop voting out of fear.
Fear of Hillary or Obama is not justification for choosing someone that the media believes, and regularly tells you, could defeat them.
What Republicans need to do is vote for someone who has demonstrated through past vote - or "non-flip-flopped" word or deed - that they are for smaller, less intrusive and less costly government, and who supports our sovereignty and our laws (including immigration laws) and our Constitution. McCain is not that person. His record proves it.
The only thing the "Straight Talk Express" will do is to run over the Republican party and leave it dying on the roadside. Some are even saying that perhaps this is what is needed after years of rampant spending and abuse by the Bush administration. Personally, all I want is to restore the Constitution, and the rights and liberties that it confers on all Americans, and to get some sanity back in Washington, D.C.

Judy, My entry today was asking where a Republican goes to resign. I have not observed people voting out of fear so much as people in my area are only conservative as much as they are really only conservative so far as their anti-abortion and anti-gay marriage stance goes. I really didn't want to believe that my Christian peers were like this, but it is true. How else can you explain Huckabee's success among evangelicals.
Now who are we going to throw our support behind?
You throw your support behind the candidate that you feel deserves your vote.
Personally I am done with voting for the lesser of two evils - or voting for someone I don't believe in so someone else won't win.
Right now Ron Paul is still my candidate - he is still in the race. He has 42 delegates, and much can happen between now and the Convention. Delegates can be traded like baseball cards.
There are people out there who think Ron Paul supporters should just give up and go away. They do not realize that this is less about Ron Paul then it is about people who will not give up on real conservatism and Constitutionalist ideas.
If Hillary or Obama or McCain or Romney win it - so be it. But I will have the satisfaction of knowing that I voted for what I truly believe in.
The Revolution has begun, thousands of people across the country have already begun to hear the message of liberty, and I am guessing that it will continue to spread with or without the Mainstream media and with or without Ron Paul leading the charge.
Who knows - this year might also see the rise of a very strong third party. All those disgruntled Republicans will have to go somewhere. Maybe that's what the RNC needs to see and hear.
Our primary is not until June, and by then, it will all be decided anyway, so that leaves me free to vote my conscience.
The NM caucus on Tuesday was a mess--and we still don't know what the will of NM Democrats is.
But what happens if we get Hillary against McCain in November. I am so tired of voting for the least of two evils...
Another election, and possibly nobody to vote for. Well, at least I can vote for someone in the primary.
What happens if we get Hillary vs. McCain? Personally, I'll be looking for a third party candidate or I will just skip the presidential slot on my ballot.
