For Those Who Don't Care About The Election Or Politics

Well...this could be useful for many people, and it is of course from the Onion.

I just love the Onion.

I am practicing the phone-fake-out and getting the child's drawing ready far in advance.

I wonder how many people would take this sort of thing more seriously if they realized that "our" votes don't really count. Rather it's the "electorate" votes that elect the President.

I never understood what that meant until I read the Bill of Rights and the Amendments recently (to get a more clear picture of the issue re: Second Amendment, per the recent overturning of the gun ban in Washington D.C.). Amendment 12 describes how the President is "chosen", and it's not by popular vote.

I still vote, and I certainly care, but I'm more concerned with electing the best representatives to Congress from my State. Those will be the people who are truly representing my interests when all is said and done.
