CT Special Legislative Session Ended

But seriously - they should have stayed home.
As usual - they accomplished nothing.

CT has a $300 million dollar deficit that was only trimmed by about $71 million in this special session called by the Governor. It seems that beyond $71 million there were some really hard choices and decisions that these CT legislators just don't have the courage to face. The reality is that they have a $6 billion dollar 2 year deficit looming, and with shrinking tax revenue due to a recessionary economy, they have to face some drastic spending cuts.

The party is over.

The sooner these CT legislators realize that Washington won't help them, and CT citizens are tapped out - the sooner they can get down to business and make some realistic and meaningful cuts to CT's budget. Unfortunately, it looks like that won't be happening anytime soon.

So much for the current "Do Nothing" CT Legislature.
Just remember - many of these legislators were re-elected! (sigh)

We'll just have to wait until January when they can come back into session and do more "nothing".
