The Judge Nails It Again
In a few days we are going to see how broke the FDIC is - and with all the bank failures this year it is not going to be pretty.
And they want to manage our healthcare? Good grief! Members of Congress have already told Private Insurance companies (private businesses) that they want all of their records regarding employee compensation, travel, conferences, expenses ...etc. etc. But I have a secret... If one really thinks about it - the insurance companies WANT government managed care and a public option so they can dump their high risk, costly customers into the public option and make YOU the taxpayer pay for the cost of their care! Then they will raise the rates on the rest of us who want to keep our private insurance instead of opting for substandard public rationed care (and YES it will be substandard rationed care). Presto - they will be making more money on less people who will most likely use less medical services. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.
My guess is that Pro Universal Healthcare members in Congress will also be using a manufactured and totally hyped Swine Flu crisis to scare everyone into voting for this horrendous mess of a healthcare bill come the fall.
Co-op - Public Option - it's all the same and it's just reframing the debate by calling the same thing by another name and trying to convince the public that it is somehow different - dare I say it - they are indeed putting lipstick on this pig.
Just what we need - one more idiot expensive government program to further hasten the complete bankruptcy of our nation.
"The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money." -Alexis de Tocqueville
Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.
Declaration of IndependenceJuly 4, 1776
"The American Revolution was a beginning, not a consummation." (Woodrow Wilson)
The 4 principal reasons why our federal government was formed: "(1) The common defense (national security); (2) the preservation of public peace, as well against internal convulsions as external attacks; (3) the regulation of commerce with other nations and between states; (4) the superintendent of our intercourse, political and commercial, with foreign countries (foreign affairs)." - Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Paper No.23, 1787 - a founding father with most important interpretation of the Constitution.
We are a nation that has a government—not the other way around. And this makes us special among the nations of the Earth. Our government has no power except that granted it by the people. It is time to check and reverse the growth of government, which shows signs of having grown beyond the consent of the governed.-- Ronald Reagan, First Inaugural Address, 1981
"The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money." - Margaret Thatcher "Any appeasement of tyranny is treason to this republic and to the democratic ideal." - William Allen White

Men of age object too much, consult too long, adventure too little, repent too soon, and seldom drive business home to the full period, but content themselves with a mediocrity of success.
Francis Bacon (1561-1626)
The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. - Cicero (106 BC - 43 BC)
The real danger is the gradual erosion of individual liberties through automation, integration, and interconnection of many small, separate record- keeping systems, each of which alone may seem innocuous, even benevolent, and wholly justifiable. -U. S. Privacy Study Commission, 1977
