I enjoy reading your insightful blog. I especially am interested in Ron Paul.

I know he had a devoted (or fanatical) following last election and seems to me to be brilliant and level headed. But he also wasn't even mentioned for a possible republican candidate. I wonder if you can explain why? I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I'm sure there is a big machine that runs politics in this country. I just don't understand how it works. Maybe this isn't a question you can address in comments and might be fodder for a future post.
