Jim Vicevich Let Go From WTIC Radio

Jim Vicevich is gone from the WTIC morning line-up - what a shame. He posted this on his blog:
I am so sorry to inform you, my loyal listeners and friends, that, as of this morning at 8:30, I am no longer employed by WTIC 1080. Over the course of four months, we were unable to reach an agreement on a new contract.
Jim was fun and funny and entertaining and thought provoking.
I believe he had a pretty big following.
WTIC just won't be the same anymore.

This is from a Jim Vicevich Facebook Fan page:
Republitarian by nature (see Larry Elder, KABC), Jim has more than 20 years experience in broadcast television. With six Emmy nominations and three Telly Awards, Jim worked as a business and financial reporter for NBC30 the NBC owned TV station in Hartford. In addition Jim worked as business editor at WFSB-TV in Hartford for 14 years.

Jim will be missed, and I sure hope some other station picks him up.
In the meantime he intends to keep blogging at RadioVice Online.

We remember his rallying cry, for all of us to say to Congress....
"IT'S NOT YOUR MONEY!"

Godspeed Jim - stay well and keep up the good fight.

Oh,
hes no longer calling himself a libertarian?

No matter how much he denies it or his zombies stutter their denial, he most certainly said he was a libertarian early on his career. I know because I looked up the definition after on of his shows. It didn't make sense then, and it makes less sense now.

However, the new he uses probably is right on. He's all for freedom from government intervention UNLESS its a freedom he doesn't agree with. Uhm....kinda like a cafeteria catholic.....leave out all the hard parts. Thats so todays "republitarians".
