United Nations To Appoint Someone To Greet Aliens

Honestly, you can't make these things up!

A space ambassador could be appointed by the United Nations to act as the first point of contact for aliens (or as they are known in Liberal circles: "undocumented space beings") trying to communicate with Earth.
Mazlan Othman, a Malaysian astrophysicist, is set to be tasked with co-ordinating humanity’s response if and when extraterrestrials make contact.

Aliens who landed on earth and asked: “Take me to your leader” would be directed to Mrs Othman.

Are you kidding me?
I hope the UN tells some farmer in Iowa about this.
And why don't they pick someone far cooler than Mazlan Othman?
How about Michio Kaku? or Jodi Foster? or Will Smith?

And of course there is Stephen Hawking:
Professor Stephen Hawking has warned that alien interlopers should be treated with caution. He said: “I imagine they might exist in massive ships, having used up all the resources from their home planet. The outcome for us would be much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn’t turn out very well for the Native Americans.”

Meanwhile back at the National Press Club, On Monday, six former Air Force personnel broke their silence and disclosed dramatic first-hand experiences with UFOs at nuclear weapons sites.
“At long last, all of these witnesses are coming forward to say that, as unbelievable as it may seem to some, UFOs have long monitored and sometimes tampered with our nukes.” The co-host for the news conference, ICBM launch officer Capt. Robert Salas, was witness to a UFO incident in 1967 that, he says, caused a missile disruption at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana, and he was ordered to keep quiet about it. “The Air Force is lying about the national security implications of unidentified aerial objects at nuclear bases, and we can prove it,” Salas said.

Next, I suppose we will all be getting the cable news report from FOX and MSNBC that we are being invaded by little green men who are tampering with our weapons systems .... and of course conspiracy theorists (the ones with the infamous "tin-foil hats") will be saying that it's another BIG government lie, the purpose of which is to unite us all against a common enemy in order to expedite and justify a move toward a unified world government with one law, one army, one nation (which might not be too far from the truth). Some have reported on "Project Bluebeam" (alleged to be a mind control operation on a massive scale relating to an alien visitation and/or the second coming of Jesus, and possibly what caused the "Norway Spiral"). Some say October 13th, 2010 is the date for the aliens arrival (Just before the elections) and that an alien invasion, or first contact, could be an opportunity to trot out a plan for global governance in response to global fear brought on by a global threat. And of course World War 3 will break out because the aliens will be exploding nuclear bombs that will be blamed on the United States.

Maybe they can even get Steven Spielberg or Ron Howard to do a movie about it.

You know - I am absolutely open to the notion that we are not alone in the Cosmos.. and I do not disbelieve what some of these veteran Air Force people have seen, but honestly ... Aliens would be far better served if they stayed away from this insane planet because I am beginning to be convinced that there is no intelligent life on Earth (at least not in government).

Honestly... it IS time the United States exited the United Nations.
Their membership have probably been watching too many Marvin the Martian cartoons.
