Gas Price Hypocrisy

It's amazing how gasoline prices have been used in political theater.
The hypocrisy and media spin is just incredible from one administration to another.
Have a listen:

This has less to do with oil company profits - although more companies are posting profits not because they are doing more business... but because prices are inflated.

The truth is that the dollar has become worth so much less that we are now seeing inflated prices at the pump AND the supermarket.

But the political spin says Obama high prices are Good!
I'll bet that makes you feel better (NOT).

Regular unleaded gasoline was $1.46/gallon in Knoxville, TN on election day in 2008. Today it is $3.70, a 153% increase. Ready for Pelosi, Clinton and Obama to sock it to big oil - any day now...

I love the response to the man with the large family (I guess Obama is so clueless on the issue he doesn't know there aren't hybrid 12-passenger vans or any trucks that have much of a tow capacity - not that the 20% that are unemployed in his anecdotal can't-afford-to-drive-to-work example have $30-40k to lay down for one). Similar to the mandating of those infant car seats and forbidding placing them in the front seat (airbags or not). If you have three children in those things, they just mandated that you had to buy a 3-row seating vehicle. If you have 5 or 6 children at the time, you are probably forced into a 12 or 15-passenger van.
