Breitbart's Coroner Dead

This is beginning to read like a Tom Clancy novel.
Something is definitely fishy.
Andrew Breitbart drops dead of a heart attack prior to a release of information regarding Obama's "history", and now Breitbart's coroner mysteriously dies as well... and seemingly from some sort of poisoning..

From Save America Foundation:
The coroner who did the autopsy, Michael Cormier from the Los Angeles County Coroners Office, told us about the heart attack in his released report, but there has always been an air of uncertainty especially among those of us that knew Breitbart.
Now, according to the Los Angeles Times, the coroner who was 61, was taken to the  Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank from his North Hollywood home and was in tremendous pain and vomiting before he died.  The hospital staff had suspicions about his death and notified the Los Angeles police department.  Foul play has not been ruled out and it appears that Cormier died from poisoning.  His deputy coroner has performed his autopsy but the results have not been released as they say they are waiting for toxicology results.
...The death of this particular coroner in a fairly unusual fashion as poison is not that common anymore as a cause of death, accounting for only about 80 deaths a day, mostly however from drug overdoses,  so it raises many questions.  Did the report on Andrew Breitbart that Cormier released tell the whole truth about the death and the causes of the heart attack?  If not, was Cormier killed for what he knew?   If so, by whom and who was involved and how high did those orders come from?  ...
Some sources for this story with the LA Times, who refused to let their names etc be known, have already stated that just because he had poison in his system, it could have just been an accident that it entered his body.  It seems premature for these people to be making these statements unless there is a major cover up going on. I do not trust this Government or the many agencies under its’ control and this to me, does not feel too far fetched that he was not killed for what he knew and did not publish just to cover up a murder of a popular conservative and patriotic reporter!
The LA Times also reported a story on this.

So who's next?

Queen Michelle's $467K Spanish Vacay

And you and I picked up the tab.

Daily Caller wrote:
It cost taxpayers nearly a half-million dollars for first lady Michelle Obama to travel to Spain in 2010, according to an analysis by Judicial Watch.
The right-leaning watchdog group estimated that the trip cost $467,585. It based its analysis on documents obtained from the U.S. Secret Service and the U.S. Air Force.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said it took his group “two years and a lawsuit to get these documents out of the Obama administration.”
“It is hypocritical for President Obama to fire GSA officials for wasteful conference spending, while his family went on a luxury vacation in the Costa del Sol Spain that cost taxpayers nearly half a million dollars,” Fitton said.
Among the various travel costs, the group estimated — using the Defense Department’s 2010 published hourly rates — that it cost the government $199,323 to fly to Spain and back to the United States.
The New York Times reported that those on the trip included the first lady, one of her daughters and “two friends and four of their daughters, as well as a couple of aides and a couple of advance staff members.”
Fitton’s group has previously disclosed the cost of sending the first family on overseas trips. Its analysis indicated that it cost $424,142 to fly the first family to South Africa and Botswana in 2011.
White House press secretary Jay Carney declined to comment on the report during a press briefing Thursday.

It's an absolute disgrace the way "Michelle Antionette" is jetting around the world on our tax money, while the majority of people in this country are struggling to put food on the table as a result of her husband's destructive economic policies.

Talk about the 1% !!!!

This First Lady's arrogance is just unbelievable.
Now, I am not saying she should walk around in rags or do anything beneath her post... but for heavens sake ... all of these trips with her entire family and entourage is just wasteful and unnecessary, and really a huge slap in the face to the American taxpayer.

We can certainly save a lot of money in the government's budget merely by grounding this FLOTUS.

Hartford,CT - 2nd Amendment Rally

The Connecticut Citizens Defense League (CCDL), the state's largest grassroots firearms rights advocacy group, is once again sponsoring a rally in support of the second amendment.

This year the popular event will take place on the south side of the majestic Hartford capitol building grounds, beginning at noon on Saturday, April 28th and running through 3:00 p.m.

The event features prominent speakers on gun rights, live music, as well as plenty of information on firearms training and licensing here in Connecticut. "We look forward to the rally being even bigger this year, and continuing the growth we have seen in years past." says CCDL's 2nd Amendment Rally Coordinator Eric Sudarsky. "It is wonderful to see how much awareness of our rights as citizens has grown since the CCDL was founded just a few short years ago, and the support we get from the community at events like this is outstanding.  The growth of the second amendment rally mirrors that of the CCDL itself, and it is through community involvement that we have been able to accomplish our goal of seeing no new anti-gun legislation passed since our founding."

The Second Amendment Rally welcomes the public, CCDL members and non-members alike. We have had the good luck of excellent weather in the past, and hope to continue the streak this year. Parking is readily available near the capitol grounds. Please make sure to bring some water for yourself, and as usual be respectful of the capitol grounds and pack out what you pack in. We pride ourselves on an untarnished record of friendly rallies that leave the capitol better than we found it.

Note: While we have recently verified with the capitol police that firearms are permitted on capitol grounds, it is against the law in the state of Connecticut to possess a gun either in the capitol building itself or on the grounds of adjoining Bushnell park. If you choose to attend the rally armed, make sure to stay on the paved area so you do not risk losing your permit or worse.

Goodbye Privacy - Hello CISPA

Here's the deal:
Big Brother wants to return to the time where they controlled information. That was when people only had TV, newspapers or radio. The media then controlled what was essentially seen and heard by the masses. People didn't really have access to anything that countered or questioned information (or dis-information) fed to them from the media. Now, with the Information Age in blossom (Internet and Social Media), those in power (governments and corporations) are struggling to control the information that people see, hear, transmit and share globally. In order to do this they must be able to access all information - and also be able to threaten you under the guise of "security/terrorism" if they don't like what you are reading or sharing.

With CISPA free speech and privacy will be a thing of the past.
Nothing electronically transmitted will be private or secure... and it can be used against you.

It's too bad that those companies who were so against SOPA and PIPA, and who will get immunity from CISPA, are more concerned with their bottom line than they are with free speech and privacy. There will be no huge online protests from them this time around.

Your free speech and privacy will be breached by Congressional passage of CISPA - quietly and without fuss.
Poof.
Gone.

Isn't the war on terror grand?
Those in charge plan to protect you by taking away all of your rights and freedoms.

Yom Hashoah - Holocaust Remembrance Day

Today, all across the state of CT, as well as the rest of the country and the world, there will be memorial services and gatherings to remember the Holocaust and the six million Jews who perished. It is the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising.

Shoah is the Hebrew word for "whirlwind." It is the term used to described the conflagration that swept up six million Jewish souls between 1938 and 1945. Countless others (Gypsies, "enemies of the state", handicapped and other "undesirables") were also persecuted and murdered. A war was waged against the Jews and unspeakable atrocities were perpetrated against a defenseless people. Men and women, young and old alike, were butchered at the hands of the Nazis. Fully one third of the World's Jewry at the time, including one and a half million children, were murdered. Some of those souls belonged to my family as well as my husband's family. We are a family of Holocaust survivors. With every birth and Bar and Bat Mitzvah that we have celebrated, we affirm that Hitler's plan failed, yet we can only dream as to what the possibilities could have been for the souls whose lives were snuffed out.

Every year, on Yom HaShoah, we remember the souls who perished in the ghettos, and in the gas chambers. We also celebrate those who survived and the families that live after them.

And yet, the murderers were not a People who would normally be called "barbaric." On the contrary, the majority of the officers of the so-called Concentration "Camps" were medical doctors (!), or doctors of philosophy, or respected professionals. The German culture was rich with music and art and education. How then, one may ask, could such a degree of evil be exhibited which perhaps has never been exceeded in all of human history? How easy is it for a so-called cultured population to be fed propaganda, manipulated and made to do unspeakable acts against other human beings?

We must also remember that the murderers' evil was not unopposed. Tremendous bravery was exhibited by relatively small numbers of Jews and Gentiles, such as at the Warsaw Ghetto, where the Jewish Community acted in concert, and by hundreds of individuals whose efforts resulted in the saving of tens, even hundreds of thousands of lives. I sometimes muse, in my circle of friends which one of them might risk their lives, and the lives of their family, to save mine. You might think that odd to even imagine, yet it does occur to me.

My cousin, Judith Altmann, of Stamford, speaks regularly at local schools and various educational events about her experiences. My maternal grandmother and her mother were sisters. Cousin Judith was 14 when her home country of Czechoslovakia was occupied by Germany. She was transported with her family first to a ghetto and later in cattle cars to Auschwitz, the infamous death camp where as many as a million people were estimated killed. Anne Frank was detained at the camp before being transferred to another camp, Bergen-Belson, where Anne Frank died.

The day they arrived in Auschwitz, Cousin Judith's parents were killed. That was a part of my family that was murdered on that day. Cousin Judith recounts that the prisoners' heads were shaved and food was almost nowhere to be found; during the day they were forced to work as slave laborers. Every week they would be allowed to shower, but these showers were a source of tremendous fear because they never knew whether "the gas will come out, or the water". To this day, Cousin Judith bears the tattooed numbers on her arm.

By the time the war ended, almost all of Cousin Judith's immediate family had been killed; of her immediate and extended family only herself, her brother and a niece survived. My grandmother was already in the US, as she came here in 1920, and later her sister and brother and mother came here as well, as did other members of the family. Those that stayed behind were caught up in the war, and the hatred in Hitler's Germany, as were my husband's family who were German Jews.

My cousin Judith regularly speaks at area schools and colleges. She says that it is important that she share her story and teach people what hate can create, so that something like the Holocaust does not happen again. However, she warned that if people are not on their guard, a similar event could occur.

"It could happen again in any country because people follow the mob," she says because even back then no one believed it would happen then.

I suppose that is why I am so mindful of what our government does via legislation, and my concern for the lack of transmission of history to our children. We must not follow leaders blindly as sheep. We must remain vigilant of our freedom to speak, to write, to assemble and enjoy all of the other rights that our Founders believed we should have.

Most importantly we must NEVER allow our government to confiscate any of our weapons. That was the first thing Hitler, as well as other dictators, did; they summarily unarmed the population. I am an avid supporter of the second amendment, and I am also a member of several second amendment organizations... one of them is Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership (JPFO)

Georgia Kindergartner Handcuffed And Arrested

Some kids are sorely lacking in discipline.
They do not comprehend respect either.
Being arrested is perhaps the price they pay - as schools and parents refuse to discipline children and also allow them to make a scene.
But... Tell me - how is a 5 year old so uncontrollable that law enforcement needs to be called to haul a young child away in handcuffs?
A Georgia kindergarten student was handcuffed and arrested for throwing a temper tantrum in school on Friday, Macon’s WMAZ-TV reports.

Six-year-old Salecia Johnson, a student at Creekside Elementary School in Milledgeville, allegedly knocked over a shelf, injuring the principal; bit the office door knob; jumped on the paper shredder; and tried to break a glass frame above the shredder.

Assuming the allegations are true, Johnson’s mother, Constance Ruff, offered up the understatement of the year when she called the incident “just one of her [Salecia's] bad days.”

Police were called to the scene, whereupon an officer, according to the police report, tried to calm the child but was unsuccessful. Instead, the report says, she resisted the officer and was therefore handcuffed, after which she was taken to the police station, where she was charged with simple assault and damage to property. There she was placed, still tightly handcuffed, into a holding cell, the girl's’s aunt, Candace Ruff, told the Associated Press.

“She said they were really tight. She said they really hurt her wrists,” Candace Ruff told the news service. “She was so shaken up when we went there to pick her up.”

While Johnson will not have to appear in court because of her age, she has been suspended from school until August.

Milledgeville’s acting police chief, Dray Swicord, defended the decision to cuff and arrest Johnson. “Our policy is that any detainee transported to our station in a patrol vehicle is to be handcuffed in the back,” he told WMAZ-TV. “There is no age discrimination on that rule.”

He also “said the arresting officer is not under investigation for his actions,” the TV station reports.

Johnson’s family, however, “demanded” that Milledgeville “change its policy so that other children aren’t treated the same way,” the AP writes.

“We would not like to see this happen to another child, because it’s horrifying. It’s devastating,” Candace Ruff told the AP.

Indeed it is. But it is a problem that extends far beyond Milledgeville.

Not long ago, a child throwing a temper tantrum in school would have been treated to some old-fashioned discipline on the spot: time spent in the corner, perhaps, or an encounter with a paddle. Today school administrators seem increasingly to rely on the heavy-handed tactics of security guards and police officers to keep order in schools.

Last year a five-year-old Stockton, California, student “was handcuffed with zip ties on his hands and feet, forced to go to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and was charged with battery on a police officer,” Sacramento’s KCRA-TV reported.

In 2008 an 11-year-old San Jose, California, student was handcuffed by an on-site local police officer for refusing to leave a physical education class in which he was being loud — like all the other students in the class. The student’s mother told KNTV-TV that the officer told her that her son had threatened neither the officer nor any other students.

Several weeks ago another 11-year-old, this time in Colorado, “was handcuffed and taken to a juvenile holding facility when she became ‘argumentative and extremely rude’ with her school’s assistant principal,” according to the Daily Mail.

Students have been handcuffed and, in some cases, arrested for such infractions as burping in class, violating a school dress code, and even missing too many days of school.

Even if Milledgeville amends its policy to prevent little kids from being cuffed and stuffed for in-school temper tantrums, America’s public schools will still have a long way to go to return to a reasonable disciplinary policy. It’s no wonder that private schooling and homeschooling are becoming increasingly popular. Kids in such educational settings might get a rap on the rear to keep them in line, but they probably won’t end up with a rap sheet before they’re old enough to read it.
What the school should have done was called the parent to come get the child, and then billed her for damages.

The root of the problem though is that these parents have spoiled these children so badly, that the children are totally out of control.

It never ceases to amaze me how some children speak to their parents these days.
And their parents do nothing.

What's worse is that these disrespectful little critters grow up to be even more disrespectful adults. And unfortunately they are the future.

Freedom Not Allowed In Michigan Government School

Oh dear .... this is really not good at all... and it is yet another reason parents need to seriously consider homeschooling!
This is just getting to be ridiculous.

World Net Daily reported:
A music teacher in an inner-city Michigan grade school is getting an earful from the higher-ups about the type of songs she can use in her classroom.

According to the April 17 issue of the Rutherford Institute‘s Insider, ... “school administrators informed her that she could not use any songs in class that contain the words ‘freedom’ or ‘liberty.’” Why not, you might wonder. Simple: “Because some children in the school are not U.S. citizens.”

... Since when did freedom and liberty become exclusively American?

Since when did they become so offensive to foreigners? Immigrants used to doff their digs and come here for those things.

What’s more, since when do we give a rip if they are offensive to foreigners?

As imperfectly as we protect and defend our liberties, Americans should be proud of them. We should exult in the providence that took Hebraic legal tradition, hundreds of years of English common law, the guts, wits and wisdom of a few pasty, colonial landholders and distilled it into the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.

While Rutherford is looking to take a whack at the offending educrats in Michigan, we should use this example as a temperature reading of how chilling the atmosphere is to traditional American values the nation over.

Beyond that, we need to reflect upon the fact that as traditionally American as those values may be, they are not exclusively American. Championing freedom around the globe is just as important as it is in the classrooms – which also provides a nice comparison with which to judge the public-school establishment:

The people most opposed to the propagation of freedom abroad are typically the dictators and strongmen who stand everything to lose if liberty should prevail in their countries. They value their power and pelf more than others’ freedom.

So, dispensing with the hypersensitive hogwash, it’s clear that the reason teachers are being forbidden to utter the words “freedom” and “liberty” has little to do with offending foreigners, as was suggested, and a lot more to do with the fact that educrats simply don’t put a high value on freedom and liberty.

For these mini dictators, freedom and liberty are all well and good so far as they go, but they’re not so important that we can’t shut up about them if a few kids and their parents get flustered over the fact.

... Forbidding a teacher from chirping choruses with “freedom” won’t roll us into a dictatorship tomorrow. But when public school officials – the people entrusted with your children’s education – don’t value freedom and traditional American liberties, you can rest assured that plenty of kids coming out of those propaganda mills won’t either, and creating a few generations of children that don’t respect basic liberties is the surest way to lose them.

It just boggles the mind.
And what is worse, these teachers will comply with this nonsense.
And in the end, the children will be harmed by being shielded from two very important and very human concepts: Liberty and Freedom.

I'd argue that what this Michigan school is doing is tantamount to educational neglect and brainwashing.

Can we really now stop pretending that government school is beneficial to the next generation of American citizens? Please don't even tell me how homeschooling damages children, when this type of anti-American brainwashing is occurring in our taxpayer funded institutions on a regular basis.

Perhaps those of us who instruct our children using non government controlled means will actually be sowing the seeds of the next generation of patriot leaders. Perhaps our children will grow up understanding the importance of liberty, freedom, and self reliance and they will become adults who will question authority and be able to think for themselves, and who will be able to lead us out of the mire of the Socialist abyss that is being carefully constructed in government schools.

What this Michigan school is doing under the banner of "Political Correctness" is simply wrong and very dangerous.

Homeland Security Vehicles On The Move

Ominous.
What is DHS/ICE preparing for with this type of "Law Enforcement" vehicle?

DHS, ordered 2,717 International® MaxxPro® Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles in January... So? What "hot" area in the US do they think they will be fighting in that they need a Mine-Resistant, Ambush-Protected vehicle??? or are those and the gun ports just to protect you and make you feel safer???

Is there a war stateside that I am unaware of?
Honestly, what is the reason for having this type of vehicle on American streets?

Does this go with the 450 million rounds of .40 caliber ammo they just ordered too?
(That's ultra high performance optimum penetration for terminal performance rounds from Defense contractors ATK)
and since they are doing this under the auspices of ICE- how about those detention facilities?
Certainly there are so many of those facilities in each state, far many more than are needed for illegal immigrants, don'tcha think?
"The Communist Department of Homeland Insecurity, are NOT honorable and good Law Enforcement Officers. They are NOT patrolling communities, keeping them safe, and protecting American citizens. They ARE Secret State Police, and they will infringe on your rights. There is nothing honorable in what they are doing. Training for martial law. Not only will they hurt American citizens, they will hurt our military and law enforcement personnel. They are enemies of the Republic... " - Comment on Facebook
Is this part of the "national security force" that King Obama spoke about?
Should we connect these dots?
Perhaps the people showcasing these vehicles understand that they are making citizens feel threatened which results in citizens arming themselves against possible harm from the government... So one might even assume that DHS is deliberately sowing the seeds of revolution.... think about it. Civilian gun sales have never been higher... just sayin'.
And of course everyone is now a possible terrorist and assumed guilty until they can prove themselves innocent.
I'm sure you feel safer already.

Or shall we just talk about whether Michelle Obama worked more or less than Ann Romney? (Next the pundits will be discussing their fashion sense which of course is of national concern)

Municipality To Restrict Tag Sales

South Greensburg PA is getting into a hissy fit about garage sales.

They don't appreciate people trying to make a buck or two in these hard economic times so they have decided to propose an ordinance, which would prevent “people going to flea markets, buying junk that they collect in these flea markets bringing it home, then putting it into their garage, and then calling it a ‘garage sale.’”

Like, how would they really know anyway?
The proposed ordinance, up for adoption next month, would limit each South Greensburg family to two yard sales per year. There’s also a time limit.

“That would be two consecutive days,” Martin says, “and they couldn’t run it all week. And they can’t run it weekly. They can’t run it monthly. Just two separate permits that would limit that. And it’s relatively inexpensive. It’s $5 a permit.”

Honestly - local government can be such an intrusive pain.
Don't these people have better things to work on - like maybe lowering taxes or fixing broken roads?

Spanish Company To Count American Votes In November Election

Well isn't this just peachy.
Americans will not be counting American votes this Fall, in the presidential election.
Votes will be counted by the Spanish online voting company SKYTL (aka SCYTL)
which also - by the way - is a company that is believed to have ties to Goldman Sachs (see below).
When the Spanish online voting company SKYTL bought the largest vote processing corporation in the United States, it also acquired the means of manufacturing the outcome of the 2012 election. For SOE, the Tampa based corporation purchased by SKYTL in January, supplies the election software which records, counts, and reports the votes of Americans in 26 states–900 total jurisdictions–across the nation.

As the largest election results reporting company in the US, SOE provides reports right down to the precinct level. But before going anywhere else, those election returns are routed to individual, company servers where the people who run them “…get ‘first look’ at results and the ability to immediately and privately examine vote details throughout the USA.” In short, “this redirects results …to a centralized privately held server which is not just for Ohio, but national; not just USA-based, but global.”

And although the votes will be cast in hometown, American precincts on Election Day, with the Barcelona-based SKYTL taking charge of the process, they will be routed and counted overseas.

SKYTL itself is a leader in internet voting technology and in 2010 was involved in modernizing election systems for the midterm election in 14 American states.

But although SKYTL’s self-proclaimed reputation for security had won the company the Congressionally approved task of handling internet voting for American citizens and members of the military overseas, upon opening the system for use in the District of Columbia, the University of Michigan fight song “The Victors” was suddenly heard after the casting of each ballot. The system had been hacked by U of M computer teachers and students in response to a challenge by SKYTL that anyone who wished to do so, might try!

Nevertheless, in spite of warnings by experts across the nation, American soldiers overseas will once again vote via the internet in 2012. And because SKYTL will control the method of voting and—thanks to the purchase of SOE–the method of counting the votes as well, there “…will be no ballots, no physical evidence, no way for the public to authenticate who actually cast the votes…or the count.”

The American advocacy group Project Vote has concluded that SKYTL’s internet voting system is vulnerable to attack from the outside AND the inside, a situation which could result in “…an election that does not accurately reflect the will of the voters…” Talk about having a flair for understatement!

It has also been claimed that SKYTL CEO Pere Valles is a socialist who donated heavily to the 2008 Obama campaign and lived in Chicago during Obama’s time as Illinois State Senator. Unfortunately, given what is known about the character of Barack Obama, such rumors must be taken as serious threats to the integrity of the 2012 vote and the legitimate outcome of the election.

Though much has been written about the threat of nationwide voting by illegals in November, it is still true that most election fraud is an “inside” job. And there now exists a purely electronic voting service which uses no physical ballots to which an electronic count can be matched should questions arise. Add to this the fact that the same company will have “first count” on all votes made in 14 US states and hundreds of jurisdictions in 12 others, and the stage is set for election fraud on a scale unimaginable just a decade ago.

Perhaps Obama had reason for supreme confidence when he said “after my election” rather than “in case of” to Russian President Medvedev a week ago.
With SCYTL internet voting, there will be no ballots and no chain of custody. There will also be no physical evidence and no way for the public to authenticate anything having to do with the vote count.

What's worse is they will be counting the online votes made by American servicemen (and women) overseas!

Why is it that a foreign entity can have access to our votes?
How is that even legal?

This needs to be exposed and investigated.
This reeks of possible vote rigging.

One commenter on an article from Klein Online stated:
Former Goldman veterans own and control Scytl. Scytl is owned and controlled by a venture capital firm, Balderton, a venture capital firm that is run by Goldman Sachs veterans Tim Bunting and Mark Evans.

Scytl is in a unique position to not only control and tabulate the votes of U.S elections (in a foreign country, separate from U.S. law and oversight), but also control e-polls as well. And all of the control is backed by Goldman Sachs veterans.

Goldman Sachs is a parasite on government. The fact that so many former Goldman Sachs employees have gone on to hold pivotal positions in the US Treasury, Federal Reserve, or as regulators is evidence of a captured government. Goldman Sachs is Mitt Romney's largest campaign contributor.

Knowing that former Goldman Sachs veterans have an ownership interest in a foreign company that tabulates votes in the United States is very alarming to any American who is concerned about open and transparent elections!
... The CEO of Scytl gave maximum contribution to Barack Obama's inauguration fund!

The Klein Online article also states:
Project Vote noted that in 2008, the Florida Department of State commissioned a review of SCYTL’s remote voting software and concluded, in part, that:

. The system is vulnerable to attack from insiders.

· In a worst case scenario, the software could lead to (1) voters being unable to cast votes; (2) an election that does not accurately reflect the will of the voters; and (3) possible disclosure of confidential information, such as the votes cast by individual voters.

· The system may be subject to attacks that could compromise the integrity of the votes cast.

This is really disturbing.

USA Downgraded From AA+ To AA: Outlook Negative

Yes, indeed.
Egan Jones, the only rating agency that matters, downgraded the US from AA+ to AA, with a negative outlook.
They said:
Inflection point - when debt to GDP exceeds 100%, a country's financial flexibility becomes increasingly strained. For the first time since WWII, US debt exceeds 100%. From 2008 to 2010, debt rose a total of 23.6% while GDP rose a total of 1.6%. Unfortunately, with an annual federal budget deficit in the area of $1.4T, debt is likely to reach $16.7T as of the end of 2012 while assuming GDP grows 2.5%, total GDP is likely to reach $15.7T. Therefore, as of the end of 2012, debt to GDP is likely to be in the area of 106%. Assuming the federal deficit for 2013 remains at $1.4T and GDP growth is 2.5%, the total debt will rise to $18.1T and GDP will rise to $16.1T, resulting in debt to GDP of 112%. In comparison, France's and Italy's debt to GDP are 81% and 117% respectively. Regarding efforts to address budget problems, the Super Committee was seeking spending cuts of $1.5T over 10 years or merely $150B per year, and was a failure. Obviously, the current course is not enhancing credit quality.

Without some structural changes soon, restoring credit quality will become increasingly difficult. Yields on 10-year treasury notes have fallen to their lowest since early Feb 2010 with US Federal Reserve's aggressive purchases of US Treasuries. A concern is the rise in interest rates placing higher pressure on the US's credit quality. Excess growth of money supply (i.e., debt monetization) harms creditors and ultimately, the economy. Weak debt reduction efforts force a neg. watch.
But that's not all....
Apparently, the Obama administration has silenced the media in announcing this terrible piece of news.
The White House news briefing referred to in this report occurred this past Thursday (5 April) when Obama regime officials were queried about the latest shock downgrade of the United States credit rating stating that to the American people this critical event should be kept in the category of a “non-story” so as not to confuse and/or shock them.

Most surprisingly, this report continues, the mainstream US news media, including their most important television networks and major newspapers, dutifully followed the directives of the Obama regime and failed to uniformly inform the American people of this momentous event.

Credit rating agency Egan Jones (EJR) downgraded the United States Thursday on concern over the sustainability of public debt. Egan Jones is one of the most important ratings firms in the world; they lowered the US credit level from AA+ to AA. The firm reduced the US from AAA to AA+ in July 2011, just before Standard & Poor’s did the same.

Furthermore this report states:
Most sadly in all of these events, the once great United States, whose press freedoms were once legendary, has been placed at No. 47 on the world’s press freedom index by the internationally respected Reporters Without Borders (RSF) organization in a stunning move reflecting how deprived of real truth the American people truly are.

The great American Founding Father Thomas Jefferson once warned his fellow citizens, “Our liberty cannot be guarded but by the freedom of the press, nor that be limited without danger of losing it.”

With that warning going unheeded, however, the quote of the great American author Mark Twain seems to be the more appropriate one to use for this American generation, “There are laws to protect the freedom of the press’s speech, but none that are worth anything to protect the people from the press.”

Houston we have a problem.

Happy Passover !

Passover Seder Plate

Beginning at sundown tonight is the Eight Day Festival of Passover.

Consent of the Governed wishes all who celebrate Passover a healthy and happy holiday. As the story of the Exodus from Egypt is retold, we should remember that people throughout the centuries have yearned to be free from tyranny and oppression.

Tyranny and slavery exist when we are subject to the will of another, and oft times we are slaves of our own making as well. The need to be free is innate in humans and indeed we hold an inherent need for liberty. The Exodus was not just about allowing slaves to leave Egypt, it was about G-d and Man's rejection of Man's subjugation of other Men, but there is also another message.

As the story of the Exodus from Egypt is retold during the Passover Seder, we should remember that people throughout the centuries have yearned to be free from tyranny and oppression. Throughout history we have seen the rejection of the notion that rulers and kings and governments have divine and unlimited power over others. There have been numerous wars and conflicts waged to establish and preserve the freedom and dignity of every individual. Today people still fight to preserve their personal freedom and God given rights. The need to be free is innate in humans and indeed we hold an inherent need for liberty. The Exodus was not just about allowing slaves to leave Egypt, it was about God and Man's rejection of Man's subjugation of other Men, but there is also another message.

We should acknowledge that slavery exists both in the world in which we live as well as within ourselves. Throughout the coming week we reflect on how we can free ourselves from some of our own modern day forms of slavery. Slavery can exist in many aspects of our lives. Aside from the obvious possibility of living in freedom versus tyranny with respect to those who govern us and make our laws, we can be slaves on a more personal and internal level.

Today's message should be that we each strive to disentangle ourselves from the things that enslave us.

We can be slaves to those to whom we owe something.
We can be slaves to our past.
We can be slaves to our own bad habits and vices.
We can be slaves to our impulses.
We can be slaves to time and technology.
We can be slaves to our bank account or our credit card bills.
We can be slaves to our wants and desires.
We can be slaves to the taxes we are forced to pay.
We can be slaves to the debts we have accrued.
We can be slaves to laws which we establish, be they just or unjust.

Passover gives us a space and some time to think about what we must do to make our own personal Exodus from the things that enslave us.

"Liberty is rendered even more precious by the recollection of servitude." ~ Marcus Tullius Cicero

"Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed - else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die." ~ Dwight D. Eisenhower

"A slave is one who waits for someone to come and free him" -- Ezra Pound

Geithner Wants To Change Composition of Coins

In a "cost cutting measure" - Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner said a good portion of next year’s savings at the Treasury will come from changing the composition of U.S. coins to more cost-effective materials.

Plastic casino chips sounds appropriate to me.

But imagine that... the Treasury Secretary is complaining that the cost of minting coins is too expensive .. how ironic ... since he is one of the ones responsible for the inflation and resulting higher commodity prices that he is now having to deal with!

A WSJ report stated:
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner outlined how his department will find savings, including $286 million in the next fiscal year, by changing the materials that go into coins, replacing paper with electronic communications and consolidating internal agencies.

The effort to find efficiencies is part of a broader effort by the Obama administration to reduce budget deficits by $4 trillion over the next 10 years. ...

“Currently, the costs of making the penny and the nickel are more than twice the face value of each of those coins,” Geithner said in his remarks.

The cost of making pennies and nickels are about twice the face value of the coins–2.4 cents for a penny and 11.2 cents for a nickel, the Treasury Department said earlier this month. Rising commodity prices have driven higher production costs. The Mint said it used 16,365 tons of copper, 2,311 tons of nickel and 11,844 tons of zinc to produce all coins in fiscal year 2011.

Changing the makeup of coins and improving the efficiency of currency production will save more than $75 million in the next fiscal year. In addition, the suspension of presidential dollar coin production, announced in December, will save another $50 million.

Geithner said the department is also finding savings by encouraging electronic communication instead of paper. For example, this year 77% of taxpayers will file returns online. Treasury has saved $63.9 million since 2009 by encouraging electronic filing.

Treasury is also working to consolidate the Bureau of the Public Debt and the Financial Management Service. This consolidation will save $36 million over five years, Geithner said.

Geithner said the broader deficit reduction plan outlined in the president’s 2013 budget is “sufficient to stabilize our debt as a share of the economy by 2015.”

You might want to start sorting out your coins and find some older ones too - the metal alone as a commodity is worth much more these days. Such is yet another result of the inflation that Mr. Geithner and company has set upon us all.

You can bet that Timmy and Company are also lusting after a cashless society like Sweden is planning.

That way every single transaction can be tracked and no transaction can be anonymous. Money - or transactions - can be completely controlled and your bank account can be completely shut off if you step out of line. These schemes are not borne out of the desire for "convenience", but rather the desire to control.

As an aside - I think if the Obama administration is so hot on the idea of cost cutting then perhaps they ought to tell Michelle to stay home for a week instead of gallivanting on yet another vacay... with kids, mother and secret service in tow.

Pink Slime Maker Files For Bankruptcy

Pink Slime has gone belly up!

and there my friends... is the beauty of the free market at work!

Tell people the truth about what they are buying and they may not want to buy it after all!

This from Zerohedge:

AFA Foods, best known for being the maker of "pink slime", and a portfolio company of labor unions and Clinton afficionado Ron Burkle and his PE firm Yucaipa, has just filed for bankruptcy. The reason? The sudden public realization what pink slime is, and just how prevalent it is - perhaps it is best to think of it as the Bernie Madoff of the food industry - it was always there, yet it took a wholesale shift in public awareness and consciousness for the firm to realize it would have been prudent to come up with a slightly different name for its ground-beef product. As for whether or not the company is going to the pink sheets, well no. But one thing is certain: the management team is about to get a pink slip.

... “Ongoing media attention has called into question the wholesomeness” of the meat, and has “dramatically reduced the demand for all ground beef products,” AFA interim Chief Executive Officer Ron Allen said in court papers.
But wait - there's more... you need to take a look at another unappetizing item called " "meat slurry", the core product of chicken "nuggets." (featured at Fooducate blog)

What you need to know:

Folks, this is mechanically separated chicken, an invention of the late 20th century. Someone figured out in the 1960′s that meat processors can eek eke out a few more percent of profit from chickens, turkeys, pigs, and cows by scraping the bones 100% clean of meat. This is done by machines, not humans, by passing bones leftover after the initial cutting through a high pressure sieve. The paste you see in the picture above is the result.

This paste goes on to become the main ingredient in many a hot dog, bologna, chicken nuggets, pepperoni, salami, jerky etc…

The industry calls this method AMR – Advanced Meat Recovery.

In 2004, as a result of mad cow disease (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy), the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) ruled that beef could no longer be processed this way, because testing showed that parts of the bovine central nervous system ended up in the meat.

As for products using mechanically separated chicken and pork, FSIS ruled that they are safe to eat, but required them to be labeled as such.

Despite them being safe, FSIS states that no more than 20% of the meat in a hot dog come from mechanically separated pork.

What to do at the supermarket:

It’s always a better choice to see a real cut of meat at the butcher counter in the supermarket and then decide what you want done with it. Buying something prepared in a factory, such as chicken nuggets, or hot dogs, you’ll always get the worst meat, and it will always be combined with additives and other sources of fat.
And there you have it -
The wonders of modern food technology.
I think I will stick to unprocessed food - preferably organic.

BRICS - Planning To Dump The Dollar

There are some interesting things happening in the financial system of the world. Nations are beginning to form alliances, and one of the things they are doing is planning to dump the US Dollar as their Reserve Currency.

BRICS - (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa)
These countries make up 42 percent of the world’s population and a quarter of its landmass. They are also responsible for 20 percent of the Global GDP and own a whopping 75 percent of the foreign reserve worldwide.
South Africa will this week take some initial steps to unseat the US dollar as the preferred worldwide currency for trade and investment in emerging economies.
Thus, the nation is expected to become party to endorsing the Chinese currency, the renminbi, as the currency of trade in emerging markets.
This means getting a renminbi-denominated bank account, in addition to a dollar account, could be an advantage for African businesses that seek to do business in the emerging markets.
The move is set to challenge the supremacy of the US dollar. This, experts say, is the latest salvo in the greatest worldwide currency war since the 1930s.
In the 30s, several nations competitively devalued their currencies to give their domestic economies an advantage over others.
And this led to a worldwide decline in overall trade volumes at the time.
The north will be pitted against the entire south in a historic competitive currency battle – whose terrain has moved to the Indian capital New Dehli – where the Brics (Brazil, Russia, India China and South Africa) nations will assemble next week.
China seeks to find new markets for its currency and to lobby to internationalise it throughout the Brics states.
For China this is not a new game. In 2009, senior Chinese banking officials issued a statement that the international monetary system was flawed owing to an unhealthy dependence on the US dollar and called for a “super-sovereign” international reserve currency.

Another article reports this:

The Brics group of emerging world powerhouses – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – is expected to launch plans this week for a joint development bank and measures to bring their stock exchanges closer together.

Officials say the initiatives will take time as they need to sort out details. But they herald a new level of ambition for a bloc that brings together about half the world’s people. The Middle East and energy security will also be discussed, officials say.

When the dollar gets dumped as the world's reserve currency... that is when things will really unravel here...
Game over.

Send your card of thanks to Mssrs. Bernanke, Obama and Geithner (and certain members of Congress too - Pelosi and Reid)
They have made sure we get screwed over pretty well.
Devaluing our currency in order to pay for their moronic spending and wars will be our undoing.
(How do you like Ron Paul and Peter Schiff now?)

And you can forget the Euro.
PIIGS (Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece and Spain) have made sure that will going down the tubes too.
